Artichture Preview Shoot

1. Details -
I think that this photo meets the details architecture because it shows the texture of the mans face and the frown that he is making. The photo is also a wide shot photo.

2. Light -
I think this photo shows the requirements of the light artchicture because the shutter speed is slow enough too catch the light in the photo. Also because the light is circles and has detail too it.

3. Patterns -
i think that i got patterns because it has repeated lines and the same shapes. It also repeats over and over again in the same pattern.

4. Angles and shapes-
This photo has both angles and shapes because it shows square shapes of homes. It also shows 90 degree angels.

5. Surroundings -
I think that the photo above was framed by the two mountains on the side. I also think this defines the building because of the cross on top of the building.

    Caption and evaluation practice

Headline-Unknown masked man throws bottle of fire with police behind him in Iraq killing 20 iraquians.
Unknown masked man with covered face throws bottle of fire towards the town of  Baghdad  late January. Police recognized the unknown person as a terrorist and too be apart of more fires early that January killing over 20 civilians and 12 injuried.

     Rules

The photo above is rule of thirds. The photo grapher did a good job at zooming into the persons face and focusing on only the face and the background is zoomed out and not focused and its focused too the main character.

    Touching People

    1. What do you think about this project and photo essay?I think that this would be a good idea too do with people that are comfortable and willing to do this.

    2. What would you do if someone approached you with a camera and asked you to participate in a photo shoot and then asked you to touch a stranger?I probley would stand next too but i wouldnt want their arm or anything by me with touching them. i'd feel very uncomfortable.

    3. Think of an unusual photo shoot similar to this one that you think would be fun to go and shoot.
Going up too someones table at lunch or etc, or in the hallway and take a picture with a passing person.

    4. Finally, tell me what you thought of the photography, did the photographer think about the rules of photography that you know about? What types of photos did he take?
In a way i do think i see simplicity and rule of thirds in some photos, i also think that the photography was focused on the main characters.
    1. Describe one photo that you agree with the judges on. Explain why you and the judges do or do not like it.I agree with the boxing photo because it shows detail of the man in the back and focused on the boxer. The judges like the photo because it was showing the referee in the back and it looked like he was thinking while the man was fighting.

    2. Describe one photo that you do NOT agree with the judges on. Explain why you think the judges are wrong.A photo i dont agree with is the one with the hockey stick because it gives detail and shows but i dont think that it shows that much detail.

So if you are done with all of that - you can move on to today's assignment.

    Magazine Covers

    Cover types
    1. Early Magazine Covers- Some magazines had the title and table of contents, also other magazines would use the same as a book cover. Magazines had fewer photos and more words, some also had more photos and less words in the mid 1700's.
    2. The Poster Cover- Many of these magazines that were made during the 1890's to 1960's had memorable covers. The magazines looked as if they were printed and framed onto the wall. Many during 1890 and 1940 didn't relate about the the story inside.
    3. Pictures Married to Type-  The photos contained a large title that had the models face overlapping the words sometimes, also had a full body photo, and also had cover lines. Some photos had the words overlapping the photo and bolder lines. In late 1972 the words on the magazine could be underlined in three different colors. In the 80's new software allowed to photo publish and font creation.
    4. In the Forest of Words- In the 21 century cover lines came important to the photograph, covers started to reflect culture, advertising, competing values, web-surfing.

    Happy, Akins, Building photos

This photo above has to deal with Akins because it had the eagles on both sides, and also has one of Akins academy's that Akins provides to students too be in. I think i did good at the photo because i tried my best at just taking the photo with just the eagles and the wall into the photo and not getting unnecessary stuff into the photo.

The photo above represents Building, because it was tooken in the front office of Akins building and structure of the front windows. I think i did very well at the photo because i made it  symmetry on both sides, and the light was coming into the window.

The photo above represents Happy, because it is a photo of an Akins Student Smiling which symbolizes happiness.
