Self Potraits

I think what makes these photos both good portraits is that its the persons expressing their feelings like in the first picture the man has a straight small smile face and the second photo he is smiling and pressing the button to take the photo. I think that the photos both have in common is both have facial expressions, and both are tookin in a mirror. When i get to have the camara i think what would do best to take self portraits is too go to the aerobic room and take a self portrait in the big wall of mirrors that they have in there.

Ethics in Fashion Photography

1. List the changes that were made to the model's face in the computer. (Look carefully)

• Shoulder lift
• Neck smaller
• Longer forehead
• Eyebraw lift

2. Is it ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like this in a photo? Why or why not?
I dont think it is acceptable to change somebodys apperance like this because their basically changing the persons whole face and creating a portrait by the computer and re fixing it.

3. Are there circumstances in which it would be more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation?

Yes if they would have added or edited something to the photo it would be wrong.

 

4. What types of changes are OK, and what aren't?

Getting a spot on her face by making it darker or lighter would be OK to change and edit by photoshop.

 

5. Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism.

Photo journalism you can edit with photo shop for good and fasion photography your basically changing the photo to make the models look different and edit their whole face.

 

6. What relationship does each type of photography have to reality, and how does this affect the ethical practice of each?

They get to edit the photo with the same app (Photoshop)

National Geographic Warm-up

2.This photo is my favorite photo because it shows the fog that goes over the town. Also because the photo shows it clearly where the fog and buildings stand. I like it also because of how there is no clouds and the fog is the only thing lifting up into the air.

3. I would take a photo over the view of the whole downtown  on a foggy morning while the sun is rising up and submit it into a photo contest.

A. Photoshop has been used for good and bad ways. In some good ways it is used to removed unnecessary some parts of a photo such as smoke coming from the sky, is removed to make the photo look perfect. Other reasons it would be bad is because of having to say you tooken a great photo and then later on the people find out that you lied and edited the photo to make it look the way you want it took look.

B. I think this type of photo is acceptable because sometimes its good to edit your photos and removed unnecessary parts of the photo that are not needed.

This photo is ethical because it is debating and has two photos that have to deal with debating and has to deal with politics..

Abandon Theme Parks

1. The amusement park i would like to visit would have to be 6 Flags in New Orleans. The park was under 7 ft water for about over a month. The photos that are posted onto the website look very interesting and the setting that they were tooken makes the photos look as if they were featured into a scary movie but this time their real and not just stuff that are painted or a layout printed background. It just looks scary and interesting to go to with no body there and the park being empty would be able to take creepy but cool photos with adjustments of the contrast of the camara mode.

5.I would like to go take photos at Okpo Land because the setting of the outside and roller coasters make good photos that you can get different angles and how the pieces of the roller coaster are falling down and the conditions of the ducks of the kids ride the conditions of their faces would make good photos to take. Also because in the photos you take you can get the down view of the town below the amusement park.

6. To go to this location i would have to plan a trip to Southern Korean island in Geoje . I would also need a camara, and a place in town to stay, and i also would have to have a tour person to help me around where im going and also a friend to support my photos that i take and help on how to take the photos.
