News paper Notes

  • Flag is the name of the paper.
  • Teaser is "pg.4 etc." " If you wanna read more go to this page"
  • Folio has the date, name of school, motto, price, website. It is a place to put information to have about what your writting for to give more information.
  • Headline information about the story should come from the first paragraph.Should make you want to read the story
  • Sub headline is under headlines and should have 1 per page, and might be information from things from other paragraphs
  • Underneath sub headline is the By line who tells you who wrote the story or what position they had.
  • You have to have pictures in your page, and if you have multiply photos you need to have a dominate photo.
  • Captions (header, byline, caption) Who, what , where, when , why , how
  •  If you have too write more than two sentences you should write background information, or you can get a quote.
  • Most front pages will have between 3-5 stories not including teasers.
  • The jump continues somewhere else.
  • Info graphics are information in graphic form.
  • Volume number, table of contents, Issue number.
  • Daily papers have a phone number, and a bar code.
  •  Mast head staff box-credits, policy, organizations and awards we have won.

- What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why? My Faviorite newspaper page would have too be
Santa Barbara Daily Sound, published in Santa Barbara, California USA because it is more visual and not words and photos on the front of the newspaper.
-What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it?
Kvällsposten, published in Malmö, Sweden becasue the title of the photo is colorful and the page is also with lines.
-How many stories are on the front page of your favorite? 5.
-What do you  notice that all newspaper front pages have in common?Titles on top with a large font,one large photo that is the top story.
-What are things that vary on the front pages of different newspapers? Titles, Fonts, arrangements of the page.
